-Grief can take many forms — the death of a loved one, a move to a new home, changes in your physical or mental health, or witnessing your partner’s decline due to illness. Each of these experiences can stir deep feelings of loss and disorientation.
As a seasoned case manager and former owner of WNC Geriatric Care Management, I have cultivated a deep passion for helping people navigate these tender life transitions. My work has centered on supporting older adults, individuals living with dementia, chronic, or terminal illness, and those grieving a loss of any kind. I bring a person-centered, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to each session, recognizing that healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and understood.
During my years in care management, I served as a personal social worker—walking alongside families through complex medical, emotional, and logistical challenges. My roles at Pisgah Legal Services and Advent Health Women’s Behavioral Health Unit strengthened my commitment to client self-determination and the importance of honoring each person’s story with empathy and respect.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from East Tennessee State University, with a concentration in clinical practice, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). I bring an eclectic approach and utilize Motivational Interviewing, parts work, CBT and ACT to help clients process grief, reduce distress, and find new meaning after loss.
My goal is to create a safe, grounded space where you can explore your grief without judgment or shame. Together, we will work to ease your suffering by helping you reconnect with your inner resilience, find language for what feels unspeakable, and restore a sense of peace and purpose in your life.
Whatever form your grief takes, I would be honored to walk beside you on this path toward healing.
